Dakea, an Altaterra roof window brand and part of the VELUX group, manufactures high-quality windows with precision, state-of-the-art technology, and top-grade materials. I had the privilege of developing a series of behind-the-scenes films to showcase the manufacturing process. The task was to focus on four crucial elements, aiming to reveal the complexity and effort behind the Dakea Ultima roof window. The entire project aimed to educate partners and stakeholders of the Dakea brand, including professional roofers, sales personnel, and technicians responsible for recommending the best possible roof windows to end-consumers.

Dakea Ultima Tests

My team and I were invited to the Dakea Ultima testing facility in Denmark to create a series of demo films. The creative concept was to be highly specific, focusing on each test process, resulting in a total of seven films. The goal with these demos was, as mentioned above, to educate stakeholders and partners about the complexity and effort behind Dakea Ultima’s 20-year-long guarantee. Seeing is believing, and these films illustrate every single step Dakea takes to make the Dakea Ultima window one of the best on the market. By composing original soundtracks for each film, in harmony with unique editing effects and moods, we enhanced the entertainment value of these educational demonstrations.

Dakea Ultima Demo Animations

As a creative director, I conceptualized and oversaw the production process of the four animated demo films presented in the Dakea Truck and on the website, YouTube, etc. Each film focused on specific features that make the Dakea Ultima window a reliable choice for individuals seeking a durable and trustworthy roof window. Every screw, layer of glass, piece of wood, and benefit had to be carefully considered—a detailed task involving numerous essential elements. I supervised this process in close collaboration with the animation studio and the client. The concept was designed to be simple, focused, and intriguing simultaneously. We opted for sound effects and entertaining elements instead of a voice-over to ensure the demos were engaging from the beginning to the end.

Dakea Champions Academy

Dakea had already established strong connections with their sellers, roofers, and other stakeholders when they approached us to create an interactive educational program online. This program aimed to help sellers learn about Dakea roof windows and master the art of effective selling. We developed a game-like system where participants could earn points by selecting the best answers. To enhance the program's entertainment value, we designed the Dakea Champions Academy, drawing inspiration from the typical American NFL-style look and tone-of-voice. Google had previously launched Google Digital Garage globally, a nonprofit program aimed at assisting businesses in enhancing their digital skills. Our mission was to tailor this concept for the Polish market, which we named Google Internetowe Rewolucje (Internet Revolution Program). To launch the platform, we created portraits of successful and content entrepreneurs who had utilized their digital expertise to successfully manage their small businesses.

Genetix is a sound studio specializing in sound engineering. Seeking to establish a more prominent presence in the marketing industry, they enlisted my help to develop an impactful yet cost-effective idea that would enhance their appeal to marketers. We came up with the idea of leveraging Press.pl, Poland's largest marketing news provider, to showcase Genetix's services. Transforming routine scrolling through mundane headlines, we brought every news piece and image on Press.pl to life with sound, providing marketers with a distinctive experience. This digital initiative garnered recognition by winning a Silver Lion at Cannes Lions in 2010 in the Best Use of Sound category.
